Clallam Bay Comicon Hoodie

Now we have a fancy new logo AND a hoodie

Our mascot's name is "SeeSee," and our motto is, "Who let you out of Clallam Bay?"

Carol Schultz, our local realtor, originated the motto when she saw me shopping in Forks and blurted it out at me.  It's what locals say when they see some of the more entertaining neighbors leaving the Clallam Bay Correctional Facility.

If See See goes to Florida she might want to wear kevlar under her hoodie. And maybe some pepper spray; I know you don't think slinging hot lead is a good idea. (pepper spray is no more accurate than lead, but the range is shorter and fatalities a bit rarer.)

You don't wear hoodies on your end of the peninsula? The Wet End is special in that we ALL do?

Oh, lots of people do, I even own one, a thank you gift from the neighbors after a long stint of house sitting while they did a rigging job in Florida a few winters back. But I don't tend to wear the hood up, I absolutely _hate_ having my peripheral vision blocked. That's why I usually wear a hat.

And I was making a reference to how in Florida it makes you fair game for idiots with guns and unresolved power issues. Time to re-read chapter 22 of Huck Finn. You make some masks, I'll pretend to be a man...

No peripheral vision problems with THIS one; it's cut so it not only allows you to see out the sides, but forms a nice eye-shade. I'm all kinds of impressed by the quality. Thank you, we all know the Florida story. How amusing.

Amusing isn't the word I'd use; but I was particularly disgruntled by the news at the time and was feeling very ironic and bitter. I get really tired of seeing someone in the news who looks like me doing something particularly evil and despicable. I don't blame the news. I just wonder what the hell is wrong with all these white guys.

Especially the death by cop types, or the one who just offed himself in his bunker (not hyperbole for a change). If they'd start by wasting themselves rather than their family (and pets in this case) it would still be a tragedy, but a much smaller one.
